Hotels and Vacation Rentals 

There is only one hotel option within the park’s boundaries: Zion Lodge. However, Zion National Park visitors find various lodging options — from budget-friendly motels and locally-owned boutiques hotels to vacation rentals and luxury resorts  — in the towns surrounding Zion National Park referred to as Greater Zion.

Camping: Tent Camping, RV Camping, Vanlife 

Campgrounds within Zion National Park – Watchman, South and Lava Point – tend to book quickly. Luckily, Greater Zion tees up campsites for tents, RVs, trailers and vans offering one-of-a-kind, sleep-under-the-stars experiences for campers who prefer the rustic life and ones who need all the hookups. 

There are plenty of campsites available only a short trek from the park. Whether you choose to camp in Springdale or a nearby state park (Snow Canyon State Park, Quail Creek State Park, Gunlock State Park or Sand Hollow State Park), all camping spots come with views of red-rock cliffs during the day and International Dark Sky Park stars at night.

Rugged meets luxury. Glamping gives campers a remote wilderness experience with the creature comforts of hotel-inspired beds, canvas safari tents, hot showers, s’more stations and gourmet dining. What some have termed “The Glamping Capital of the World,” Greater Zion offers a blend of authentic outdoor experiences and convenient comforts. 

Where to Find Lodging Near Zion National Park

Springdale Lodging: Minutes from the Entrance

A hotel stay in Springdale offers the closest access to Zion National Park’s main entrance and the Zion Canyon Visitor Center. Many hotels are within walking distance of Zion shuttle stops, and it’s free to ride. While Springdale puts you within arm’s reach of Zion National Park, other regions of Greater Zion offer different perks. 

Hurricane Valley Lodging: About 30 Minutes from the Entrance

The smaller towns of Hurricane, La Verkin, Toquerville and Virgin offer hotel and motel options on quaint main streets dotted with hip coffee shops, old-fashioned diners and welcoming grocery stores. Hurricane Valley is also a basecamp for mountain biking, ATVing and other outdoor adventures. 

St. George Lodging: Under an Hour from the Entrance

The St. George Area — St. George, Ivins, and Washington — puts travelers close to dining and shopping, as well as the Dixie Convention Center and St. George Regional Airport  This bustling area boasts locally-owned boutique hotels, luxury resorts, spas and golf.
