Dark Sky Stargazing

In 2021, Zion National Park was certified as an International Dark Sky Park by The National Park Service and the International Dark-Sky Association. With community support, Dark Sky Stargazing and the night sky will remain protected, affording astronomers and photographers alike views of the stars, planets, and galaxies that rival the red cliffs and towering sandstone walls. 

The National Park Service website offers additional information about exploring and protecting night skies, and links to related Ranger-lead programming when it’s available.
There are third-party stargazing tours available in addition to the NPS-facilitated programs.
